About Us

Nestled at the beginning of the historic Hedrick block, 101 South Main has housed many businesses since the late 1800′s when it was first constructed. It has been a mercantile, a grocery store, a confectionery, a building and loan, a camera store, a pharmacy, a jewelry store and a soccer supply store. In the early 1920′s the facade was replaced and offices were added to the upstairs space. There was also a basement level barber shop and shoe repair.

In 2008, Ted and Cheryl Goins purchased the property and promptly began restoring it to its 1920′s glory. Working closely with state and federal preservationist, care was taken to convert the retail space into a pottery gallery as well as a studio space for Cheryl. The old basement barber shop became a teaching studio for community pottery classes and the upstairs “offices” became a loft for Ted and Cheryl.
